Matt LIED about football games.

On August 28, 2025, Matt posted this online:

Look at that paragraph beginning "to do so requires a board majority."

He's implying that the Board made the decision to move to 6:00pm start times for football games.

He's further implying that it was Kacy Deschene, Jeff Simon, and Michelle Langenfeld who made the decision.

THIS IS A LIE.

As the Superintendent reported at the August 25, 2025 meeting, the decision to move football start times to 6:00pm was made by many schools in a large region.  Their reasons included safety, less stress on law enforcement, and the fact that schools that had already done this saw an increase in attendance.

At the August 25 meeting, it was JEFF SIMON - not Matt - who brought this up and asked for a further review to be done.  Matt simply agreed with Jeff.

But he's taking credit, and he's blaming people who had nothing to do with it.

Shouldn't a School Board member be honest with the public?

The "Parent Candidate" ???

When Matt filed for re-election on July 29, he said, "Parents will be heard!"

He says he's the "parents candidate".  His supporters at the Anoka-Hennepin Parents Alliance always make the same claim.

Is this true?

THE MORRIS LEATHERMAN SURVEY

In many years, the Anoka-Hennepin School District commissions an outside research organization to conduct scientific polls of District residents and District parents.  This survey was most recently done in 2024 by the Morris Leatherman Company.

The full results are here:  https://meetings.boardbook.org/Public/Agenda/2720?meeting=656504

Matt says parents are unhappy and he's their voice.

What does the Morris Leatherman survey say?

The results of the survey are clear:

Since 2019, over 80% of District residents AND parents rate Anoka-Hennepin as GOOD or EXCELLENT.

AND:  the state average for "excellent" ratings is 11% -- but in 2024, TWENTY-SIX PERCENT of respondents said AH was "excellent."

At least four out of every five District residents and parents are happy with the quality of education at Anoka-Hennepin.

So who is Matt speaking for?

A SMALL MINORITY.

Let's look at some other results.

The Morris Leatherman survey gives parents a chance to be heard, and the parents were clear:

At least 88% of surveyed parents are pleased.

But remember, Matt is always talking about "CRT" and "divisive ideologies."  He's running on that!

So what do AH parents think about these things?

The Morris Leatherman Survey covered that, too.

(Note:  the survey didn't ask parents specifically about CRT because CRT is a subject of study in law school, not public schools.)

The survey shows that parents aren't as angry about "divisive topics" in our schools as Matt claims.  In fact, parent replies generally show MORE satisfaction with "divisive topics" than the resident results.

SEVENTY-SIX PERCENT of District parents think that the District's attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion is about right or actually want more.

SIXTY-SIX PERCENT of District parents are satisfied or want more attention to the history of slavery and racism.

FIFTY-NINE percent of District parents are satisfied or want more attention to gender identity.

FIFTY ONE PERCENT of District parents are satisfied or want more attention to sexuality matters.

(NOTE:  this graph suggests that some surveyed parents simply didn't answer the question).

Matt claims to speak for the majority.  The results show HE DOESN'T.

In 2021, Matt won Subdistrict 4 in an election year with no statewide races, meaning voter turnout was typically LOW.

The survey data is clear:  Matt doesn't even come close to representing most parents and residents in Anoka-Hennepin.

On November 4, vote Matt Audette out of office.
